It is both an honor and privilege to serve as the Superintendent/Principal of Spring Lake Heights School District where education is so strongly valued.  Our school community’s joint goal is to provide our students with the best possible learning experiences each and every day.

The Spring Lake Heights staff has a strong commitment to student achievement in all areas while also fostering a love of learning.  We remain focused on maintaining high expectations as we exceed state and national standards.  Furthermore, our district continues to look to the future as we provide our students with the necessary skills and experiences to excel in a technologically driven world.

As you know, a strong home-school partnership is vital as we work collaboratively in support of our students.   Having three children myself, I understand a parent’s perspective.  I encourage your support and welcome your feedback throughout the school year in an effort to strengthen our partnership and bring us closer together as a school community.

If I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.  My email address is jmccartney@slheights.organd my phone number is 732-449-6149 extension 200.

Henry Ford said, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress.  Working together is success.”  I look forward to working with you this year and into the future as we celebrate many successes together and support our mission to empower our students "to achieve their optimal potential as life-learners and productive, responsible citizens."
